David, I have saved another oddball sled. I found it on the side of the road for sale.
It was to say the least, rough.  No seat, no motor, no track no belt guard and no windshield.
Gas tanks was rusted out and the drive axle was rusted tight.
With some help from friends in the vintage sled world I got the needed clutch cover that
was missing. Folded a gas tank.
Building the windshield was a real treat with its size, 28"x 50" x 1/8" lexan and compound bends.
Here it is along the way of the restoration this summer. It is not a professional job but it is a saved sled!
Here is just another of one of my creations. I call it my DeereSki. 
A mix of a 1976 JD Liquifire 440 and a 1997 Ski Doo MXZ.
Bellypan hood and motor 76 JD tunnel and suspension 97 Ski Doo. Bob Janssen
